-
- Do you even know the history of 'The Sam Report', where it comes from, who
- Alex Amor is, how many lies he told us during his 'buyout' fiasco? Who
- wants to circulate another lie of his? I want to be able to confirm
- information that I post, and I do!
-
- >>>Now as to Asha Develder being confused.

- >I believe that you included the words, "And now this on FidoNet

-
- And maybe, just maybe she has better sources than the 'Sam Report' could
- ever hope to have? And 'prodigious contributor' wasn't exactly how it was
- put.
-
- >I then used the word "naive".

-
- Without this background, it's hard to see that angle since none of us live
- with you.
-
- >Greg, I do think that there isn't that much separating rumor from information.
- >As any number of people in the information gathering/analysis business, be

-
- And on the other hand, one small UNVERIFIED and INCORRECT rumor can cause
- more damage than any verified and correct FACT.
-
- >>My point is that not even the original "SAM report" appeared in these

- >>Fido effort. I find it rather odd....
- >
- >Any ideas as to why, by now?
-
- Because most of us have been here, done that, and have the T-shirt already.
- The 'Sam Report' is not much more than a writhing tirade against Amiga
- Technologies from Alex Amor of CEI ... almost verbatim, I'd bet! He seems a
- very sore loser since he lost the bidding and was shown to be telling us
- lies for almost a full year. It still doesn't give him any credence with
- me!
-
- >>Do not confuse optimism tinged with suspended disbelief with naivete! Many
- >>of us like to give people enough rope to hang themselves when there is no
- >>compelling reason not to.
-
- Well said Greg. As I said in the beginning, if Amiga Technologies ever
- starts lying to us the way Alex Amor and David Pleasance did ... I and many
- others are gone. They haven't so far! They deserve the benefit of the doubt
- until they do.
-
- >I do think that predicting 10,000 units of A4000T's and reaching a goal of
- >(for arguements sake) 500 is information valuable to would-be dealers, current
- >Amiga owners wondering whether to upgrade, how long to hold on for the
- >promised Power Amiga (what indeed are its chances, given track record to
- >date), whether to buy additional software, etc.
-
- And for arguements sake, are we now safe in assuming that you have fully
- verified ALL (or even ANY) of the 'facts' from the "Sam Report"? :)
